The school-high school "Jules Verne" in Nantes (France) is a public institute. It prepares students for high school and other higher education levels. It hosts around 1,200 students: 400 in primary school and 800 in high school. One of the specialties of this institute is teaching of languages and cultural exchanges. The language used when teaching are in Spanish, English and Chinese eastern section. Therefore, students are used to speak in these languages. In addition, each year cultural trips and exchanges with foreign students are organized. All these actions are part of one of the objectives of their educational project called "cultural openness".
Through Fabien Gracia, teacher of Physical Education, this school is an active member of the research group "Games and play practices" of the CEMEA (since 2000).
